Faction Wars is a Combat venue where your champions of each Faction attempt to reclaim their Faction Crypt pitting champions of that faction against occupiers from of all the other factions.
Rewards for each battle include SOME experience, Glyphs for use in Enchanting Artifacts, Forge Materials and Skill Tomes for beating the stages.
In addition there are progress rewards similar to the main campaign.
Forge Materials allows you to craft artifacts that make up the Resilience Set (HP +10%, DEF +10%) and Perception Set (ACC +40, SPD +5%) artifacts.
Each Faction Crypt has floors guarded by bosses at Floors 7, 14 and 21. The first time one defeats each of these bosses, one receives skill tomes with a Rare Skill Tome, an Epic Skill Tome and a Legendary Skill Tome awarded for Floors 7, 14 and 21 respectively.
The boss at Stage 7 is The Dueler
The Boss at Stage 14 is The Protector

Completing all Faction Crypt floors with 3 stars (a total of ) rewards Lydia the Deathsiren who is a powerful Legendary Champion!
Faction Wars Tips[]
Do the Faction Wars daily. Otherwise, you’re losing the opportunity of getting Glyphs that can substantially boost your champion’s stats. That gives you an edge in all areas of the game as well as being able to farm Forge materials to craft equipment (Swift Parry, Resilience, Perception and Deflection).
Do the highest difficult stage that your team is capable of, or a less difficult one that is easy to speed run if you do not have much time to play the game.
As you progress, try to build more powerful teams by including a balance of the roles ATK, SUP, DEF, & HP and try to get a leader with an aura that helps you out here.
In the very early stages, feel free to try less than 5 man teams, every little bit of experience and the extra glyphs & materials may be worthwhile. (Just using your keys results in a reward)
Consider reducing your team from 5 to 4 if you can beat a level but always lose one man. 2 stars is better than 1 star and it may just push you closer to the next progress reward.
A well-balanced team is a solution to tackle all stages and it requires at least 1 Attack Champion for dealing AoE (Area of Effect) damage or high single-target damage, 1 Support Champion and debuffer for Crowd Control. The remaining 2 champions can be in either of these 3 roles depending on the enemy composition in each stage to help speed up the Faction Wars run.
An Advanced Quest provides additional Faction War keys if you participated 5 battles of Tag Team Arena 3v3 regardless of win/lose. It’s okay to lose in Tag Team Arena because gaining keys is much more important to improve your champions, and eventually, your champions become stronger in all areas.
It seems that Boss stages like 7 do NOT consume keys when you lose so if at first you don't succeed you might try another team configuration.
Some mid level crypts feature a wave 2 defender who throws up a two turn unkillable buff every second turn. If you get into that loop, just forfeit and next time target him manually on turn 1.
